Have You Made Your Facebook Business Poster?

Facebook recently rolled out a free feature that gives your business a custom QR code for your Facebook page. Have you tried the custom Facebook poster tool?

This free social media marketing tool takes about 1 minute to make. Check your inbox. If you have a Facebook page for marketing your business, you likely have an email from the social media platform that you may have just skipped right over it.

(If you don’t have the email, here’s the link to the instructions on how to create the Business poster).

Before you start, you must be an admin of the Facebook Page, your page info must be updated, and you can only access business posters from your desktop computer.

How Do I Customize My Poster?

Once you’re in the tool, it will automatically pull your info from your business page and the tool will generate a printable PDF, which includes a QR code that links to your business Facebook page. The poster also has contact info and you can select messaging about your business - which is especially nice to communicate any changes you’ve made around safety and Covid-19.

Select from:

“We’re Open”
“Appointments Only”
“Temporarily Closed”
“Order Online”
“Please Wear a Mask”
“Visit Us on Facebook”

or create your own custom message. You can also change the color scheme to match your branding. My client Contreras & Metelska works with a large Spanish-speaking population, and the custom message allowed us to add content in Spanish. Their brand is also orange, so we matched the color scheme.

How to Leverage the Poster

Once you complete your Business Poster, download the PDF and print for use at your point of sale, on your storefront window, or front desk.

Use it as a reminder for your employees who interact with your clients, patients, customers or guests in a face-to-face setting to give a personal reminder to connect on social media. Consider using the reminder to follow you on Facebook to coincide with an upcoming sale or deal. For example as your customer checks out at the desk, Say:

“Are you following us on Facebook? (If they say Yes, say Thank you!!) You can scan the QR code with your phone here to find us. We often put deals just for our loyal followers, I don’t want you to miss out!”

This personal touch will help you grow your social media following and help with engagement.

If you’re not seeing your followers face-to-face right now, the poster in a storefront window or door is an extra way communicate and will help remind them of how to best connect in these crazy times!
